In more birthday news, Tersiguel’s French Country restaurant celebrates 40 years of serving up fine food to Howard county diners.
The Tersiguel family opened Chez Fernand on Ellicott City’s Main Street in 1975. The current location opened in 1990.
Odette and Fernand Tersiguel moved to the U.S. in 1963 working in New York restaurants before coming to Maryland in the 1970s with their little boy, Michel.
Michel trained at the Culinary Institute of America and restaurants in New York and California before becoming chef of the family operation in 1997. Today, Tersiguel’s is known for its mix of French classics and creative cuisine. The restaurant’s use of herbs, eggs and produce from the family’s Randallstown farm predates the farm-to-table trend.
Look for a Bastille Day bash on Saturday, July 11, with Tersiguels’ family and friends. For information or reservations, tersiguels.com.
