Her Mind magazine is excited to announce the 2015 Annual Power of the Purse event June 8, from 4:30p to 7:30p at the Sub-Zero and Wolf Showroom by Fretz. Be sure to join us for a fun—and bargain-filled evening! Gently used and vintage purses will be available for cash and carry. New and designer handbags, filled with goodies, will be included in our Silent Auction. Wine Tasting will be provided by Iron Bridge Wine Company, accompanied by light fare from Chuy’s, a Mexican Restaurant coming to Howard County in early 2016. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to meet this year’s VIP Danielle DiFerdinando—Founder of Danielle Nicole New York based handbag designs. Danielle grew up in Howard County, graduating from River Hill High School. She started Danielle Nicole at the age of 18, as a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. As an intern at Bergdorf Goodman, she stumbled upon the opportunity to design a cosmetic bag for the department store, and the rest is history. In addition to Bergdorf’s, Danielle’s bags have been sold at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales and Lane Crawford—as well as other major retailers and specialty boutiques all over the world. Danielle is committed to giving back, serving on the board of the Ronald McDonald House New York, and helping to raise funds for such charities as the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, House of Ruth, the American Heart Association, the Lupus Foundation, and Blossoms of Hope. See her work at www.danielle-nicole.com and www.HSN.com Proceeds from this year’s event will be given to Blossoms of Hope in support of the Claudia Mayer/Tina Broccolino Cancer Resource Center at Howard County General Hospital. Blossoms of Hope is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year, so help us celebrate this wonderful cause. |
