The Poetry Poster Project:The Powerful Diversity of Poetic Talent in Prince George’s County

The Poetry Poster Project showcases poetry
from neighboring Prince George’s County
displayed as an exhibit of “written artwork.”
Featured poets include Sistah Joy Alford,
Ladi Di Beverly, Forestine Bynum, Diane
Wilbon Parks, Edgar Gabriel Silex and the
2017 Prince George’s County youth poet
laureate, Samantha Jackson. The posters
present a dignified collection of poems that
are suitable for all ages; poems are family
friendly and apolitical. This event also
features a celebratory reading and open mic
for public participation.
