Ortal Ben Dayan is a Sephardic feminist activist. After growing up in Kiryat Shmona on the boarder of Lebanon, Ben Dayan is now promoting discussion about gender issues and raising awareness about offensive terms, discrimination, and social privileges.

Jewish Federation of Howard County presents Women Shaping Modern Israel. Join our shlicha Hadar Shahar for a lunch & learn presentation about women shaping modern Israel. Learn about leading women in Israeli society and get a glimpse into the worlds they come from—secular, religious, Ashkenazic, Sephardic, Jewish and Muslim.

The lunch and learn programs will take place from 11:30 am-1:00 pm. Bring a brown bag lunch—we’ll provide the dessert and drinks. 10630 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 121 (The Conference Room). Cost of each program is $5 which will be charged at the door on the day of the event. Pre-registration is strongly recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
