Lynda Katz Wilner will talk abut how a powerful and polished professional presence balances the 3 V’s of communication: Visual (how you look), Vocal (how you sound), and Verbal (what you say).
Learn to align your V’s to sell yourself and your business in a professional manner.
Learn aspects of ideal visual communication: handshake, posture, facial expression, gestures, eye contact
Improve vocal communication: voice quality, rate of speech, vocal variety
Learn how to organize a clear and concise verbal message
Lynda Katz Wilner is a communication specialist, coach, and a Maryland licensed and nationally certified Speech and Language Pathologist with over 30 years’ experience in speech, language, and voice concerns. Her company, Successfully Speaking, works with individuals and companies to help professionals achieve excellent communication skills.
One of the unique features of BWN is that we are ACTIVE supporters of our Howard County community. Not only do our members support each other as women in the business world, but we also harness the collective power of our membership to support the vital service work of various local organizations.
This month, help us support the Howard County Head Start Program. The Howard County Community Action Council’s Head Start Program promotes school readiness, health, nutrition and parent involvement services to low-income families with young children ages 3-5 years old. The Head Start Program also provides special services for children with developmental, intellectual and / or physical disabilities. The program has 4 locations and 17 classrooms in Howard County.
