The Howard County Annual Yom HaShoah/Holocaust Remembrance Day Commemoration will take place virtually on Thursday April 8th, 2021. This year’s theme is “Keeping the Promise of Never Again: What it Means in 2021” and will feature keynote speaker Steven Luckert from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

The virtual presentation will begin at 6:00pm with an online pre-event featuring a Holocaust artifacts exhibit from local community members, Holocaust survivor video testimonials, a local authors’ book gallery, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Traveling Exhibit “State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda” and “Never Again” student essay winners from Howard County schools.
The Memorial Service will begin at 7:00pm, including a Candle Lighting ceremony and keynote speaker Steven Luckert discussing the theme of “Keeping the Promise of Never Again” and what this means in 2021.
This event is presented by the Howard County Board of Rabbis and The Jewish Federation of Howard County.
