Rep Stage, the regional professional theatre in residence at Howard Community College, will host a free, virtual conference dedicated to women+ working in the theatre on August 22, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fifth annual conference will continue to provide women-identifying theatre practitioners the opportunity to network, while also addressing the need to develop strategies that further the cause of gender equity.
The keynote speaker will be choreographer, playwright, and performer, Lady Dane Figueroa Edidi. The conference includes a panel and small-group discussion called Meeting the Times, a designer panel, a speed-networking session, an expo in which individuals can promote themselves and their organizations, as well as an afternoon of readings from the winners of the 10-minute Play Contest.
The conference will be held virtually on a Zoom platform. Registration is required. To register for the conference visit www.repstage.org/womenintheatre
