Coffee Lover's Hike, History & Tasting

Enjoy a coffee-lovers’ morning at Robinson Nature Center! During a short walk through the woods, discover the history and ecology of the plant so many of us rely on every morning. Learn about growing conditions, challenges faced by coffee farmers and distinctions such as fair trade and organic. Watch a coffee bean roasting demonstration, then end by fueling up with a coffee tasting and discussion of different coffee varieties and flavor profiles provided by local coffee roaster, Pfefferkorn’s Coffee. Handmade, baked-good pairings by Sweet Simplici-tea accompany three of the six tastings. Coffee is available for sale on-site.
