The Historic Mount Ida mansion in Ellicott City hosts the 2013 Decorator Show House The last Ellicott house built in the Historic District was constructed in 1828 for William Ellicott, son of Jonathan and Sarah Ellicott, and grandson of Andrew, one of the founders of Ellicott’s Mills.Maryland based decorators have embellished the rooms of the Historic Mount Ida with their unique and eclectic tastes. Food is available in the adjacent heated tent, along with local antiques and boutique booths.Located at 3691 Sarahs Lane, Ellicott City, MD 21043, the Decorator Show House is open through this weekend, Tues. through Sat., 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sun. noon-5 p.m., with Thur. late hours till 8 p.m. (closing October 27th).
