Brave Your Fear
Speaker: Crista Samaras, Brave Enterprises
Fear is powerful and it can either propel or pause us. This session will confront our unhealthy obsession with being fearless rather than more brave, explore the value of being intentionally out of our comfort zone, and make a case that chasing failure is the ticket to increasing core confidence.
Crista Samaras is the founder and CEO of Brave Enterprises, a company that helps people do hard things.
She designs programming that is innovative, rooted in science, and based on her 20 years of experience coaching and teaching. A graduate of Princeton University and former lacrosse superstar, Crista traveled the world as she built two lacrosse-based teaching companies, which she sold in 2014. In 2016, she started Brave. In the past 2 years, Crista has facilitated over 100 sessions with nearly 5,000 participants.

September Donation
One of the unique features of BWN is that we are ACTIVE supporters of our Howard County community. Not only do our members support each other as women in the business world, but we also harness the collective power of our membership to support the vital service work of various local organizations.
BWN’s September non-profit is Ecoworks.
The mission of Howard Ecoworks is to empower an under-served workforce to respect and restore our natural systems for future generations. Their vision is to lead in developing innovative solutions, a skilled workforce and partnerships for resilient communities.
Ecoworks is currently in need of the resources listed below. BWN will be collecting donations at the September 18 meeting:
