Historic Ellicott City, Inc.’s 33rd Annual Decorator Show House

Since 1987, Historic Ellicott City, Inc.—a nonprofit supporting the preservation and restoration of the Ellicott City Historic District and other historic structures in Howard County—has orchestrated an annual Decorator Show House inviting local interior designers to decorate and furnish individual rooms in grand estates across Howard County, Maryland. The event aims to show case historic and notable homes for future generations while raising funds to support our mission.

This year marks the organization’s 33rd Annual Decorator Show House in which 20 designers will decorate 23 rooms and spaces in the stately French Provincial private home, Belle Vue at the Chase, located at 11645 Vixens Path, Ellicott City, MD—the future home to a couple with four young children.

Visitors will see an impressive range and mix of styles, design techniques, ideas and themes to satisfy every interest. In addition, most designer’s accent pieces, furniture, rugs and individual elements are available for purchase throughout the show’s run. Special events including designer presentations to be announced. The ever-popular boutique and antiques will also be available—and for sale—at this year’s event.

Dates & Times: The Decorator Show House opens September 21st and runs through October 20th, 2019 with hours Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

Tickets: Advance tickets are available online at http://historicec.com/show-houses/ through August 31st for $30. After September 1st tickets are $35 online or at the door. Tickets are also available at participating partner retailers for $30.

Parking: No accessible parking is available at the Decorator Show House address. A shuttle will be provided to transport guests to and from the Decorator Show House. Details to follow at https://historicec.com/.
