28th Annual Howard County Police Pace 5K

The Howard County Police Foundation will hold its 28th annual Howard County Police Pace 5K race and 1-mile walk and run on Sunday, Sept. 8, at Centennial Park in Ellicott City. Police Pace begins at 8:30 a.m. and is followed by an awards ceremony.

Proceeds from Police Pace will provide the department with funding for scholarships, training, equipment and special needs not met through the annual budget.

The event will offer 50 performance awards, children’s activities and a chance to win prizes. In addition, the Howard County Police will display police cars, motorcycles, the horse-mounted unit and equipment from specialty units.

Race registration for individuals costs $40 through Sept. 1 with discounted family packages available. Registration includes entry in the race, an Under Armour event T-shirt, Mission BBQ lunch and a chance to win awards and prizes. Visit www.policepace.com to register.
