This vital story asks us to remember a dark moment in world history through the eyes of a young girl: Poignant and powerful, Anne Frank’s hopes and dreams shine in her words penned while hiding during the Nazi invasion of the Netherlands. This recent adaptation, containing more of Anne’s original writing and more forthright about the characters’ Judaism, makes this play more necessary than ever.
