Set up a coffee meeting with a member you’d like to know better. Ask for advice. Find a mentor. Use this entire meeting time to build relationships and forge new connections!

One of the unique features of BWN is that we are ACTIVE supporters of our Howard County community. Not only do our members support each other as women in the business world, but we also harness the collective power of our membership to support the vital service work of various local organizations.

This month, help us support Zaching Against Cancer, located in Columbia, MD. Zaching Against Cancer Foundation (ZACF), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization offers a wide range of programs and support for cancer patients, caregivers, family members and others affected by the disease. ZACF provides the Little Things Program which offers services and support for patients and caregivers, scholarships for kids who are either fighting cancer or who have been impacted by a family member with cancer, research and internship funding to help find a cure for this disease.

During our July 18 meeting, we will be collecting the following items for their upcoming wellness retreat to fill goodie bags for their clients:

Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm
Mini Journal Books (composition book size)
Glass jars with flip lids (approx 2×2)
