HorseSpirit Arts Gallery presents Maryland Artist Deanne Marie Lenehan, a contemporary realist painter who brings the viewers attention to the persistence of time and acknowledges the significant purpose things once had. Years of wear and neglect can erode beauty and strength, however these flaws tell a story and are what Ms. Lenehan finds so intriguing. Memories of time spent with family in Michigan are what inspire her subject matter. “Still Standing” represents her artistic career bringing her back to her roots and is dedicated to her mother who was a constant inspiration and tireless supporter of her creative spirit until the day she passed.
