OJAS BRINGS HEALING TO COLUMBIA

Kelly B. Wilkes, owner of Ojas Wellness Centers, believes that every woman has a reset button “and they need to give themselves permission to push it.” Ojas, which recently opened a new facility at Meadow Ridge Center in Elkridge, says Wilkes, is the place to do just that. Ojas Columbia offers therapeutic wraps, yoga, acupuncture and other services provided by a community of healers.

“There is a tremendous amount of pressure and stress on women – whether wrangling toddlers, being a wife, or being a professional,” says Wilkes, a licensed massage therapist as well as an entrepreneur. This is the fourth location for Ojas, which also has facilities in Baltimore, Pikesville and Sparks Glencoe.

“Women have trouble feeling worthy of being put on our own list of priorities. We are often torn between making time for family and setting aside time for our own self-care,” she explains. “But self-care is not a luxury. It is a necessity.”
