Adina Bar Shalom is the founder of the first Orthodox Women’s college in Israel, which makes it possible for thousands of women to earn a college degree and join the Israeli work force. A social activist within the Israeli religious sector, Bar Shalom is also the daughter of the late former Sephardic Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.

Jewish Federation of Howard County presents Women Shaping Modern Israel. Join our shlicha Hadar Shahar for a lunch & learn presentation about women shaping modern Israel. Learn about leading women in Israeli society and get a glimpse into the worlds they come from—secular, religious, Ashkenazic, Sephardic, Jewish and Muslim.

Bring a brown bag lunch—we’ll provide the dessert and drinks. 10630 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 121 (The Conference Room). Cost of each program is $5 which will be charged at the door on the day of the event. Pre-registration is strongly recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
