Cybersecurity 101: What You NEED to Know

When it comes to preventing yourself from cyberattacks, the basic principles of security are the same for individuals, small businesses, and large corporations. It always comes down to finding the right balance of security and convenience. Take away some tactical tips on the layers of security to help protect you and your business.

Speaker: Ananta Hejeebu is Partner of Howard Tech Advisors, a technology services firm for business clients based in Elkridge.  Ananta has more than 25 years of executive experience in the technology industry, and is active in the community and as a member of the Howard County Board of Education.  He has a BS Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.

One of the unique features of BWN is that we are ACTIVE supporters of our Howard County community. Not only do our members support each other as women in the business world, but we also harness the collective power of our membership to support the vital service work of various local organizations.

This month, help us support Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, located in Columbia, MD.  Grassroots is a multi-service crisis intervention center providing crisis intervention services, emergency and transitional shelter, and community education. This local non profit organization provides supportive and professional  24-hour crisis intervention, suicide prevention, shelter, and outreach services to individuals and families experiencing a personal, situational, mental health, or shelter crisis. 

During our April 18 meeting, we will be collecting the following items:

• Size 5 diapers
• Clorox or Lysol wipes
• Beef/Chicken/Vegetable broth (liquid, powder, or cubes)
