NICHOLE HICKEY TAKES A BOW

nichole_hickeyIn her last season as executive director of the Columbia Festival of the Arts (CFA), Nichole Hickey is “Bringing It Home.”

The Bringing It Home 2014 season runs June 13 through 28, opening with its traditional free weekend on the lakefront in Columbia Town Center June 13-15. In her time at CFA, Hickey has enhanced the visual arts content of the festival,
added film as a regular feature and created a stronger emphasis on literary offerings.

The 2014 season promises an eclectic mix of free and ticketed events including film, literature, theater, music, exhibitions, workshops, artistic competitions and circus. Hickey has also implemented a new strategic plan to reach audiences beyond Columbia, expand programming year round, leverage community partners and help cement the next generation of the arts in Columbia. A new ambassador program called the Green Room Club gives members VIP access to meet and interact with entertainers. Hickey and her team have ensured that CFA will continue to evolve in the ever-changing arts world and remain vital for years to come.*
